The spiritual, calming and tranquil design comprises cycloid form in-situ concrete roof vaults lit with the latest technology in LED lighting from Elektoled Ltd, divided by narrower flat roofed bays and supported on thermally separated concrete columns. The chapel has seating for 145 people, with intimate views to a lily pond and walled garden. 

Nearly all the principal building materials are Green Guide A rated. Low energy 30 Watt LED projector fittings lighting the vaulted ceilings. Temperature controlled windcatchers provide natural ventilation. Heat is recovered from the cremator plant for space heating. Additional winter heating and summer cooling are provided by ground source heat pumps and underfloor pipework.
